In 1979, Lars Larsen opened his first JYSK store in Denmark with a mission to be a great Scandinavian offer for everyone within sleeping and living. At JYSK we are proud of our Scandinavian heritage, which is experienced in our culture, values and leadership style. It is also visible in the design, simplicity and quality of our products that must live up to the customers’ expectations of durability for everyday use. These are expectations that JYSK is continuously working to live up to ever since the opening of our first store in Aarhus in 1979, and we are proud to share the Scandinavian philosophy with the rest of the world.
